Do you want to give your family the legacy of your life story? Are you looking for a jumpstart on your memoir? Would exploring your life through its stories help you navigate a life transition?
The Guided Autobiography method of writing your memoir one story at a time is an accessible, thematic approach anyone can use to create stories that reflect the mosaic of life experience. Through the creative exercises in these interactive workshops, you’ll learn about the Guided Autobiography technique, identify major life themes, begin to recall long forgotten memories and share them with others, and start writing your life story.
For the first workshop, please bring an object that holds memories you can share with the group and your favorite writing materials.
Margaret Flesher is a writer, experienced group leader, and Guilford resident who is certified as a Guided Autobiography instructor by the Birren Center for Autobiographical Studies.
Free and open to all. Plan on attending both workshops. Jan. 16 & 23
