Hogwarts House Cup: Teen Summer Reading 2017

Congratulations on your acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!
Once you are sorted into your House, you can participate in the Hogwarts House Cup competition! There are a few different ways that you can earn points for your House and help them to win.

Hogwarts Summer Reading Flyer

4 Ways to Earn Hogwarts House Points:
*Read books! Each book is worth 10 House points.
*Attending Programs: For each library program you attend, you will receive 20 House points. You will receive 40 points for attending the kickoff program starring wizard rock band Draco and the Malfoys.
*Volunteering at the library: For every hour you volunteer at the library, you will receive 20 House points.
**BONUS POINTS: You will receive 5 House points for sharing something on social media about the Hogwarts summer reading program. You can post pictures from a program you attend, a picture of your acceptance letter, the latest book you are reading, etc. Just be sure to tag Guilford Free Library in it and use the hashtag #GFLHouseCup.

It’s easy to participate! Use the log given to you to keep track of each book you read between June 19 and August 25. Come in anytime during the summer to have your log checked and added to your House’s total points.

Participating in the House Cup automatically enters you into a raffle for a chance to win some Harry Potter swag. The members of the winning House of the House Cup competition will be invited to attend an ice cream party at the end of the summer, so help your team out by reading as many books and attending as many programs as you can!

Sign up at the reference desk starting Monday, June 19! Enjoy a summer full of Harry Potter inspired programming!
