The 2010 Printz Award goes to Libba Bray for her novel Going Bovine.

Cameron Smith, a disaffected sixteen year-old who, after being diagnosed with Creutzfeld Jakob's (aka mad cow) disease, sets off on a road trip with a death-obsessed video gaming dwarf he meets in the hospital in an attempt to find a cure.

The Printz Award is given for excellence in young adult literature.




The 2010 Michael L. Printz Award Honor Books Are:

Alex Awards 2010

The Alex Awards are given to ten books written for adults that have special appeal to young adults, ages 12 through 18. The winning titles are selected from the previous year's publishing.

2010 William C. Morris YA Debut Award

This year’s recipient is L.K. Madigan for the novel Flash Burnout.
