Founded in 1973, the Friends of the Guilford Free Library has a current membership of 800. The Friends send out their Membership Letter in December. Please consider supporting the Friends by volunteering your time and talent or by donating.
The Friends:
- Run the fall Book&Bake Sale and spring Paperback Book Sale
- Fund the events newsletters to more than 5000 library users
- Publish the Friends Newsletter, highlighting upcoming library events
- Provide home-bound delivery service
- Sponsor bus trips to places of interest
- Support the library’s two fiction and one nonfiction book clubs
- Contribute to the library’s book budget and help fund technology, programming, museum passes, staff development, and much more
- Sell items to help benefit the library:

The 31st annual Friends of the Guilford Free Library Book and Bake sale will be held Friday, Sept. 28th, Sat. Sept. 29th and Sun. Sept. 30th, 2012.
