All events are drop-in, and some of them have limited space, so make sure to show up on time to the panels you’d like to attend.  More detailed descriptions of events in the printed program that day.  Click the image below for a larger view. All programs are for all ages, but please read the program descriptions to determine if the program is right for your family.  Vendors are located in the Children’s Room for the duration of the Con.  Panels & Events:

Character Creation:  Tips, tricks, and advice on creating a fun and memorable original character.
10:30-11:30am; Craft Room

Face Painting:  Get your face painted to look like a superhero, fairy, cartoon character, or pretty much anything else you can imagine.
10:00am -12:00pm & 2:00-4:00pm; Lobby

Interactive Princess Storytime with Ariel:  Hear a story and sing songs with Ariel, then get your picture taken with this Disney princess.  You may even witness some mermaid magic.  Presented by Isabelle’s Princess Parties.
11:00 am-12:00 pm; Meeting Room

Tabletop Gaming Demos:  Learn how to play a variety of board games.
11:00am-2:00pm; Children’s Room (Tween area)

Virtual Reality Demos:  Try out a variety of games and simulations on our virtual reality headsets.

Intro to Dungeons & Dragons:  Interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons but don’t know how to get started?  Just want to learn more about the game?  Come to this informative talk & demonstration.

Coding with Sphero:  Learn how to code robots to complete a maze using Sphero.

Green Screen Photos:  Get your picture taken in front of our green screen and see yourself magically placed in a photo with your favorite superheroes, Disney characters, and more.
All Day; Lobby

Action Star Experience:  Come experience movie magic and participate in your very own action fight scene.  Professional stuntman Bobby McFarlane will teach you the basics of safe screen fighting and then, if you choose, will play Henchman #1 in your personal fight scene which we will shoot, edit, and email to you to show your friends.  All ages welcome and no experience necessary.

Jurassic Park Replica Vehicles:  Take pictures with replica vehicles from the Jurassic Park films, presented by Jurassic Park Motor Pool New England.
All Day; Front Lawn

Character Meet & Greet:  Meet some famous characters and take photos with them.
12:00-3:00pm; Lobby

Dragon Drawing Class:  Learn how to draw dragons in this hands-on class.  No experience necessary.  Presented by Art & Soul Art Therapy.
12:30-1:30pm; Craft Room

Escape Spider-Man’s Lab:  Can you unlock the secret ingredient for Spider-Man’s web fluid before time is up?  Find clues and solve puzzles in this shortened version of an escape room game.  10 person limit per time slot.  Plan to stay for the whole time.  First come, first serve.  No experience necessary.
1:00-1:30pm, 2:00-2:30pm, or 3:00-3:30pm; Historical Room

What’s your Endgame?:  Not happy with the way Marvel’s Endgame ended?  Do you find yourself rewriting scenes or constantly thinking woulda-coulda-shoulda?  Join the Connecticut Sci-Fi Fanatics, a local group of adult science fiction fans from the shoreline area, for a fun and interactive discussion about Marvel’s climactic end to a decade’s worth of stories.

Avengers Mini Canvas Art:  Learn how to paint your own Avengers themed mini canvas art.  Suggested for ages 8 & up due to the fine motor skills required and potential for mess.  Limited to 15 participants.  First come, first serve.  Presented by Pam’s Picassos.
1:30-2:30pm; Meeting Room

Harry Potter Jewelry Making:  Just what it sounds like!  Make a variety of Harry Potter-inspired jewelry.  No experience necessary.  Not recommended for very young children due to small pieces and fine motor skills.  Presented by Marcy LaBella.
1:30-2:30pm; Craft Room

Geek Trivia:  Are you the ultimate fan?  Put your geeky knowledge to the test with WhatTrivia!  Prizes go to the winning team.
3:00-4:00pm; Meeting Room

Battles Drawing Class:  Learn how to draw an epic battle scene with Brianna Benn-Mirandi from Art & Soul Art Therapy.  All materials provided.  No experience required.
3:00-4:00pm; Craft Room

Piñata Fun:  Take a swing at the piñata and see if you can be the one to make it rain candy at the end of the day.
4:00pm; Front Lawn (Lobby if weather is bad)

Balloon Characters:  Magician and balloon twister Adam Parisi will be giving out fun characters in the back of the Children’s Room.
11:00am-2:00pm; Children’s Room (Back)

Con Swag Raffle:  Fill out our survey for a chance to win Funko Pop figures, costume pieces, and more!

Find Mickey!:  There are 20 Mickeys hidden in all public areas of the library.  Find as many as you can for extra chances to win our swag bag.

The Friends of the Guilford Free Library will be giving away and selling for a deep discount comics, graphic novels, and sci-fi.
