Several teen book awards were recently announced:
The Michael L. Printz Award is given to a book that exemplifies literary excellence in young adult literature. This year's recipient is Libba Bray for her novel Going Bovine.

The Alex Awards Are Given to 10 adult books with teen appeal.

The William C. Morris Award is for the best book by a first-time author writing for teens. This year's winner is L.K.Madigan for Flash Burnout.
