October 16th is the 250th birthday of Connecticut's own Noah Webster. The Yale alumnus revolutionized the way we spell, read, speak and understand English. June 16th is Bloomsday!
The Board of the Modern Library deemed James Joyce's Ulysses the best novel of the Twentieth Century. The influential novel takes place on June 16th, 1904 in Dublin, where every year on that date ceremonies and readings celebrate the life and work of the author.
