Rolandas Kiaulevicius illustrator of the children's book Zoolidays was at the library on February 19. He read from his book, danced, and gave a drawing lesson for the children.

Scientists are trying to solve the mystery of whale strandings. Could they be due to man-made noises in the ocean from solar testing and shipping lanes? Could the weather be a factor? Why would the whale do something that would most likely cause it to die?

This is a thought provoking book about the many explorers who came to the Americas before Christopher Columbus. It looks at evidence from the Vikings, Chinese legends, Mayan stonework, and more.
