June 16th is Bloomsday!
The Board of the Modern Library deemed James Joyce's Ulysses the best novel of the Twentieth Century. The influential novel takes place on June 16th, 1904 in Dublin, where every year on that date ceremonies and readings celebrate the life and work of the author. On May 6th, 2008, Christina the Magician entertained the second-graders from Clinton Avenue School in New Haven and the second-graders from the Melissa Jones School in Guilford as part of the Friends of the Library Outreach Program.
